The next thing I know as I type this, I'll be on my flight to Maryland. It'd only be a scary reality if I don't get everything done. This is what I've been up to: Aisha Clanclan, Radical Revy-chan, and Casca's ball gown from episode 17 of Berserk.
Here's a collage of WIPs of Aisha's props: the bell, braid ring, and belt buckle. All out of Styrofoam, light air dry clay, and patience. This is the first time in a while that I've worked on clay and I have to admit I'm horrible at it. I'm still pretty pleased with the outcome but I may return to it. I've yet to paint it gold but when I do I'll have photos posted.
I have to still make a lot of her outfit, shoulder guards, wig, wahhh so many things!! With that all listed down for her, all I need left is the minor accessories for Radical Revy in time for Swampcon, which I definitely look forward to since I have the honor to help judge their cosplay contest along with Queen Xtine Cosplay.
Casca on the other hand is almost 100% done. But I do have to make Berserkerfists' coat for Guts, which shouldn't be hard I've already drafted out the pattern for the coat and he comes and visits in about a week it's just the details that will take a while but I do have enough time from now up until my departure to Katsucon. With all this talk about work I've been pretty on edge about getting things done, every day I've put in some effort and some progress into all my outfits. I'm really excited for this convention because I know all this hard work is seriously going to pay off.
Even though it's just the beginning 2014 has been kicking ass.
