I definitely have some sick case of post con depression. Katsucon is my FAVORITE con. So hmm.. where to start.. Ah, the flight was pretty normal, it wasn't crowded and pretty roomy. I'd like to mention Meyli and I arrived in Maryland, Wednesday of that week so yes, we were VERY lucky to not have dealt with any of the issues other's had with the flights and just getting to the con in general. I was actually quite worried for my friends coming from Florida getting to Katsucon, thankfully by Friday everything started to settle down.
We left Wednesday morning, I regret getting McDonalds for breakfast for my sister and I. My tummy was in absolute pain for the rest of that day, I'll be sure to not do that again... Berserkerfists picked us up and took us around to some oriental markets and a Vietnamese restaurant. That night we had a great get together with some friends and had Korean BBQ at some place that kept playing KPOP songs on the TV which was really distracting All in all Wednesday was super chill, and there was snow but very little of it. The next morning there was snow deep enough to where it almost reached the bottom of my knee.

Thursday I woke up quite early, I looked out the window of Berserkerfists' room and realize, holy crap there's so much flipping snow outside.. how much snow is that..? GUYS, I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW EXCITED I WAS TO GET UP, I BRUSHED MY TEETH DID WHATEVER AND THREW AS MUCH CLOTHES ON JUST TO GET OUT THERE. For those who don't know me, I'm a native Floridian ( I say native now since I've been here for almost a decade ) and I haven't seen snow since I've been in the Sierra Nevada on the way to Reno one winter vacation ( this was a long time ago folks ) I was ECSTATIC to be out there. I stepped in the snow and it sounded like the noise it makes on Animal Crossing - oh God I was so happy.
Most of that morning I helped Berserkerfists shovel the driveway then later made a few snow structures along with me just laying in the snow like the bum I truly am. ( picture way up top ) After that we ended up carefully driving our way to the National Harbor which was a billion times colder because of the wind coming from the harbor itself.

Friday started pretty early for Meyli and I. We got dressed for a shoot with My Sweet Addiction Photography, who is an absolutely nice gentleman. It was nice and sunny at the time and not that cold at all. We got dressed and headed on out to the con. He and I will have photos posted up soon so stay tuned for that! It was the second time having a cosplay shoot with my sister, we went outside and I kept slipping on the ice - totally worth the photos though. She and I also got to shoot with Bookmin Photography, she too was absolutely polite and pleasant to be around. We took photos in the atrium and even up in the gazebo area. Later we met up with Lionel Lum who took wonderful photos of us together, he even thought of us doing selfies and super derpy stuff it was amazing.
Everything that day was pretty slow paced which was good and a nice warm-up to the shenanigans of Saturday.

Saturday was pretty intense, everyone in the room got up early to dress up. I had to help Berserkerfists get into his costume first before I got into my ballgown. It was pretty arduous getting both costumes on without fearing something will break because I'm a worrier like that. We started the day off with Lionel who again took such beautiful photos. Meyli dressed up in Kurapika from HunterxHunter and got noticed by plenty of people which is great because not many recognize her down here when she wore it. There were many people who stopped us and even recognized our costumes as well which always makes me really happy and grateful to see. We also shot with My Sweet Addiction again then had some of Berserkerfists photography friends like Gerardo J. Flores take photos of us.
Just for the hell of it Meyli and I dressed back into Aisha and Melfina. Berserkerfists dressed up into Guts during the eclipse which was pretty messy to help him with all the blood. I actually got some blood on my nails but thankfully it was easy to come off. The rest of that night we hung around our friends sitting at the Gazebo floor taking selfies and just looked at other cosplayers and adoring their work.

Sunday was the average ol oh geeze get up everyone we gotta pack up our shit and go there was a heavy case of PCD at that point already. I ended up leaving to the airport with my sister which our flight ironically got delayed, we got back into Orlando by 12 and I was pooped.
Much thanks to everyone who took our photos, friends I took selfies with, people I befriended that weekend, and people who shoved my dress into the elevator who thought there were more room ( no really I actually didn't appreciate that at all :C ) Thank you photogs for spending your time with us, whether it was with Meyli, Berserkerfists, or just myself. Also thanks to Berserkerfists for everything. Until next year Katsucon, I'll be waiting and I'll be getting ready!
With love and care,
